Drawing as a Verb - Research Assignment
My chosen artist for this research assignment, Jerome Witkin, is an American contemporary artist. Though he is mostly known for his oil paintings, the talent he showcases through his drawings should not go overlooked. Varying between still-life and life drawings, Witkin's artistry is overwhelmingly evident as he displays a profound understanding of lighting and perspective. His diverse use of marks within his drawings give them life through texture, creating interesting subjects that draw viewers in.
